Iglesia de Nuestra Señora + Restaurante Cascada | Wedding Photography and Video in Marbella
Kateryna and Nick’s wedding in Marbella was one of those days that just felt effortlessly beautiful. From a quiet morning at the Westin La Quinta Hotel to a joyful church ceremony and a romantic dinner surrounded by greenery, their day had everything: tradition, sunshine, and heartfelt moments.
If you’re looking for wedding photography and video in Marbella, this story shows how a well-planned day in great locations can be captured in a way that feels both timeless and personal.
Bride prep at The Westin La Quinta resor
While I usually recommend having everything take place at one venue for simplicity, It is not always possible.
And when you have to choose another location to get ready at, then why not make is stunning?
Kateryna got ready at the Westin La Quinta Hotel, and not only was it easy for me and my team to park there, the rooms were spacious and filled with beautiful natural light, but the real surprise was the lobby. The big staircase made for some of my favourite portraits from the whole wedding.
Ceremony at Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación
Most of the weddings I shoot tend to be outdoors, but I have to say, there’s something powerful about a church ceremony, especially in a church like this one. Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación is right in the heart of Marbella and has this grand, historic presence that immediately sets the tone.
For Kateryna and Nick, having a religious ceremony was important. One thing I love about this location is that we had access to the balcony, which allowed us to capture the ceremony from above. That wide, top-down view really shows the scale of the space and adds something unique to both the photos and the video.
Before the ceremony we took the time capture some cool portraits of Nick!
Confetti, cava, and wedding portraits in Marbella
After the ceremony, Kateryna and Nick had arranged for a nearby restaurant to serve drinks right outside the church. And of course, all the guests celebrated the newlyweds with confetti canons.
If you want an advice for great photos: buy confetti cannons!
After the drinks, we stayed in the area to take portraits in Marbella’s old town. Right next to the church is plenty of spots that show the beauty of spanish architecture and charm.
Wedding celebration at Restaurante Cascada
Restaurante Cascada is one of those venues that feels like a secret. Tucked into the greenery just outside Marbella, it feels private and intimate.
The food was incredible (Thank you for serving the photographers the same as the guests), but what made the experience complete was the atmosphere.
To end the night, we did a sparkler exit with the couple. It’s a simple idea, but always a hit. It’s not an easy photo to pull off because you need everyone to have the sparkler lit up at the same time. I recommend having a big lighting source, so you can turn more than one sparkler on at the time.
