A LITTLE
ABOUT ME
First, a little about my life here

I live in Málaga with my girlfriend Paula. We both do most of our work from home, and luckily we have two offices, because we both tend to get quite loud and enthusiastic the moment we’re on an online meeting.
Paula is from Argentina, so we live our whole day in Spanish. My Spanish is getting pretty good by now, but it’s still not perfect, and she speaks faster than me and with a cute Argentinian accent, which means a fair amount of my day goes into saying “could you repeat that, darling?” We’ve learned to find it funny rather than frustrating, mostly.
When we’re not working, we love to hike in the mountains, explore the many cute villages around Spain, or just stay home and cook something good together.

My Journey
2010
My first camera
I spent my early years as an adult in the Danish Army as a medic. It taught me how to stay calm when things get busy, how to prepare properly, and how to be the person people can rely on when it matters. When I returned to civilian life I felt a bit lost, and I needed something to throw myself into. I ended up buying my first camera, without knowing that it would turn out to be the beginning of everything.

2013
Falling in love with Spain
I took a job as a tour guide in Andalusia, doing excursions around the region and showing my visitors the big cities, the history, and the culture of Spain. This is where I first fell for Spain and the lifestyle you live here. My camera came everywhere with me, and I kept practising on everything around me, still with no real idea that photography would one day be the whole thing.

Life as a travel photographer
My knowledge of the travel industry, put together with my growing skills behind the camera, landed me a job as a travel photographer for a Danish travel agency. For a full year I travelled across their destinations in Turkey and Greece, shooting the marketing material for their hotels and the sights around them. It was my first real job as a photographer, and a year of shooting every day taught me more than any course could have. By the end of it I knew photography was what I wanted to do. I just didn’t know yet what kind of photographer I was going to be.

2016
My first wedding
I was back in Denmark attending photography school when an acquaintance from my childhood asked if I would photograph his wedding. I said yes without giving it much thought, not imagining it would be anything more than a favour for a friend, and with no idea it would completely change the direction of my life. But I loved every part of that day, the nerves, the speeches, the way a whole room full of people let their guard down at the same time. By the end of it, I knew I’d found the thing I wanted to build my life around.
I didn’t choose weddings. Weddings chose me. And any fellow Potterheads will know exactly what I mean when I say it felt a bit like the wand choosing the wizard.

Making spain my home
After shooting hundreds of weddings across Denmark, I decided to move back to Spain. I missed the culture, the weather, and the long, bright days that carry through the winter. And I’d discovered that Spain didn’t just offer a longer wedding season than Denmark, it gave me far more room to grow what I was building. So I sold most of what I owned, packed the rest, and I haven’t regretted it for a single day since.

to be continued…

Of all the things i could be doing Why weddings?
I’ll be honest with you. I don’t care much about the dress, the flowers, the table settings, or any of the things people assume a wedding photographer lives for. Don’t get me wrong, beautiful decoration helps me tell a beautiful story, but what truly moves me is the emotion of the day.
It’s the father who goes quiet when he sees his daughter in her dress for the first time, just before he walks her down the aisle. It’s the lifelong friends whose speeches show how much the couple really means to them. It’s the vows a couple wrote themselves, the ones that tell you exactly who they are and how they love each other.
Last year there was a grandmother at one of my weddings who came in a wheelchair. Getting there at all had been an ordeal for her, and you could see what it cost her, and how much it meant to her and to the couple that she was there. It meant so much to them that they had changed the venue to accommodate her. Being able to catch that pride and happiness on her face while she watched their first dance, that is what gives my job meaning.
So that’s the truth of why I do this. I love weddings because they’re a day of pure emotion, and I relate to that. What I’m actually good at is connecting with people and finding where the real feeling lives on the day, so I can be there with the camera when it happens.
A few of my favourite things
Favourite book
Harry Potter. I’ve read the whole series more times than I’ll admit in writing. Proud Potterhead, no apologies.
Sport of choice
Running. I’ve run several marathons, and there’s still no better therapy than lacing up, putting on an audiobook, and going for a long run.

Favourite type of holiday
Skiing. After a few seasons working as a ski guide, it’s still my favourite way to spend a holiday. Give me a mountain and I’m happy.
Favourite destination
Thailand. I lived there for a year, and some of my favourite memories in the world are still from that time.
Small confession
One honest warning. English is my second language, and my brain has an embarrassing habit of quietly stealing whatever accent is standing in front of it. So if your wedding is full of Irish guests, there’s a decent chance I’ll be talking like one of them by the time the dancing starts. I promise I’m not taking the mick, it just happens on its own, and couples usually laugh and tell me I’ve officially joined the family.

we might be a good match if:
01: You want your wedding told in a way that feels like you, not like just another wedding.
02: You want to feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera, even if you’ve never been the type to enjoy being photographed.
3: You want a photographer who guides you gently when you need it, and knows when to step back and let a moment just happen.
