Capturing the love story of Hein & Joyce.
Joyce and Hein, a young Dutch couple, brought their closest family and friends all the way to Spain to celebrate their love in the sun. From the start, they knew they wanted their day to be centered around having fun, and spending the most time with their family and friends. They weren’t looking for anything flashy—just a beautiful place that would create the perfect frame for their celebration.
Cortijo Laguna Chico ended up being exactly what they were looking for. Being situated right on the beach, it gave them the best of both worlds: a peaceful, intimate setting in the garden of the venue, and the beach right next door gave the convenience of having everything in one place.
Spending time with their friends and family was important to Joyce and Hein, so I suggested doing a first look before the ceremony to save time later in the day. They loved the idea, but wanted to take it a step further by including their immediate families in the moment. It added a fun and emotional twist to the first look that felt just like them.
Doing the portraits earlier also meant they could fully enjoy the cocktail hour without feeling rushed or pulled away. No strict timeline, no stress—just time to relax, celebrate, and be present with their guests. Later, during dinner, we snuck away for a quick sunset session to capture some amazing portraits.
